Job Summary

Total Comfort Solutions is seeking a skilled Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and delivering high-quality workmanship in the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot/repair HVAC equipment in a timely and quality manner.
  • Continued technical training to meet the responsibilities of a technician, including classroom, on-the-job training, and personal studies.
  • Demonstrate capability of handling a heavy workload of calls and maintain a high level of professionalism.
  • Promote new business by reporting leads and exercise effective communication with customers and co-workers.
  • Build rapport and positive working relationships with clients, vendors, and other outside contacts.
Requirements
  • Two-Year Technical Degree or 4 – year apprenticeship from accredited HVAC institution with 1 to 2 years of experience, HVAC Certificate from accredited HVAC institution with 3 to 4 years of experience, or equivalent work experience.
  • Organization and time management skills, problem-solving skills, and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of safe work habits, experience with managing agreements and quoted jobs, and excellent communication skills.
Technical Skills
  • Industry-specific knowledge gained from working in the field, including knowledge/experience using a vacuum pump and micron gauge, recovery machine, electronic leak detector, voltmeter, ohmmeter, and ammeter.
  • Use proper refrigerant charging techniques, including superheat and subcooling, and knowledge/experience of measuring and setting gas pressures on various types of natural gas systems.
  • Experience understanding airflow standards, measurements, and instruments, and ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC mechanical systems unsupervised.
