About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled HVAC Technician Apprentice to join our team at Johnson Controls. As an apprentice, you will have the opportunity to learn from our experienced technicians and gain hands-on experience in the field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all pneumatic control systems and mechanical equipment service and other work assigned by the Employer.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems.
  • Respond to basic warranty calls.
  • Keep JCI, contractors, and customers informed of job progress and issues as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with HVAC equipment, commercial or residential.
  • Ability to perform general building maintenance.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to supplement on-the-job training with training provided through the apprenticeship program.
  • Ability to commit to required Union training.
  • Ability to be on-call as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • EPA Refrigeration certification.
