Position Overview:

The Grounding Assembly Tester for Fleet Operations is tasked with the safe transportation to various job sites across multiple regions.

This role primarily involves conducting annual evaluations and assessments of grounding assemblies utilized in Overhead, Underground, and Transmission systems.

The Tester will also oversee the management of a functional inventory of grounding assemblies to facilitate field operations during testing across diverse locations and states.


Key Responsibilities:
Ensures safety while performing inspections and assessments of grounding assemblies in the field. Conducts in-house inspections and testing of grounding systems. Maintains company vehicles, tools, and equipment in optimal condition. Performs additional related tasks as necessary to fulfill job requirements.

Essential Qualifications:
Ability to engage in strenuous physical activities. Capable of safely climbing onto and descending from vehicles. Familiarity with heavy equipment operations. Knowledge of the proper use and upkeep of hand tools. Ability to comprehend and follow instructions. Basic understanding of materials utilized in fleet operations. Willingness to work extended hours in various locations as needed. Must be eligible to obtain a commercial driver's license. Capable of lifting weights exceeding 50 lbs. Must be prepared to work outdoors, often in adverse weather conditions. Availability for overtime when required.

The employee frequently stands, walks, uses hands for manipulation, and reaches with arms.

Team members frequently lift or move weights up to or exceeding 50 lbs.

Specific vision capabilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.


Work Conditions:


While executing the duties of this position, team members may frequently encounter fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical components, and vibrations.

Team members may occasionally face a variety of extreme conditions at construction sites. The noise level in the work environment can be elevated. While performing outdoor tasks, team members are subject to varying weather conditions.
