Job Summary:

The State of Montana is seeking a highly skilled Highway Maintenance Tech to join our team. As a key member of our transportation infrastructure team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance, including laborer, lead worker, equipment operator, and truck driver duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a variety of equipment, including trucks, to perform regular maintenance activities such as ditch cleaning, patching, overlays, fence repairs, lawn mowing, and material or equipment transportation.
  • Load sanding material and perform snow removal and sanding duties during winter months.
  • Perform preoperational checking, scheduled servicing, and maintenance on equipment, including adding fluids, changing pins, cutting edges, etc.
  • Perform related work as required to ensure the efficient operation of our transportation infrastructure.
