AmeriQual Foods is looking for a skilled Lead Procurement Specialist. This role involves overseeing the acquisition and management of raw materials and packaging, processing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery through effective tracking and expediting. This is a salaried position primarily during first shift hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and manage purchase orders while communicating shortages and potential supply chain disruptions.
- Utilize the ERP system (SAGE) to place orders and generate reports, maintaining optimal inventory levels to reduce waste.
- Collaborate with various departments to forecast demand, plan inventory, and ensure timely delivery of products and services.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement strategies to enhance efficiency.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Act as a liaison among customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Coordinate logistics for purchase orders as necessary.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of purchasing experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in computer applications, particularly MS Office, and experienced with ERP systems or purchasing/inventory software.
- Exceptional analytical and statistical skills.
- Demonstrated professionalism and excellent communication abilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the capacity to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
