Job Description

Western Digital is seeking an experienced Information Security Architecture Leader to own and evolve the company's Information Security Architecture function. The successful candidate will have a broad and deep understanding of all relevant technologies, including networking, systems, and devices, storage, cloud services, applications, AI, and sub-components within each.

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills to establish and foster positive relationships with IT and other enterprise stakeholders. They will be responsible for defining a strategy to expand and evolve network firewall architecture and engineering, including VPN services, and growing and maturing the cloud services security practice.

The Security Architecture Leader will be responsible for immersive leadership for an end-to-end Security Architecture management practice, building and strengthening security-related business partnerships across the enterprise, owning and evolving all network firewall and VPN architecture, engineering, and services, and championing process improvements to include an increased use of automation to replace inefficient manual efforts.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for integrating into the risk management program, providing guidance and solutions as needed, removing roadblocks for their team, and achieving proper commitment from stakeholders. They will present Information Security Architecture program strategies, updates, and plans for improvements to executive leadership and proactively mentor and manage their team to continually grow their skills and careers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing team, excellent written and verbal communication skills for various levels of audiences, a strategic mindset with the ability to translate complex security requirements into practical solutions, and attention to detail while not losing sight of the bigger picture.

The Security Architecture Leader will operate under pressure in a complex business and technology environment and have the ability to operate under pressure in a complex business and technology environment.

Responsibilities

  • Immersive leadership for an end-to-end Security Architecture management practice
  • Build and strengthen security-related business partnerships across the enterprise
  • Own and evolve all network firewall and VPN architecture, engineering, and services
  • Champion process improvements to include an increased use of automation to replace inefficient manual efforts
  • Integrate into the risk management program, providing guidance and solutions as needed
  • Remove roadblocks for your team and achieve proper commitment from stakeholders
  • Present Information Security Architecture program strategies, updates, and plans for improvements to executive leadership
  • Proactively mentor and manage your team to continually grow their skills and careers
