The Associate Property Manager role is a vital part of our property management team, providing day-to-day administrative support to ensure seamless operations. Key responsibilities include:

Maintenance
  • Responding to and creating maintenance service requests, as well as in-house work orders, to address any issues promptly.
  • Assigning service orders to maintenance staff and vendors, ensuring timely completion.
  • Scheduling service appointments with tenants, vendors, and following up to guarantee satisfaction.
  • Meeting with tenants/vendors, inspecting repair items if necessary, to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Updating AppFolio on service requests and project status to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Creating and submitting city permit applications for repair/construction projects, adhering to local regulations.
Leasing
  • Supporting the Property Manager with rental application processing, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Conducting leasing tours/open house of apartments when needed, showcasing properties to potential renters.
  • Inspecting vacant units, performing move-in/move-out inspections as required, to maintain property quality.
Administrative
  • Answering office calls and general email inquiries, providing excellent customer service.
  • Assisting the Property Manager with tenant notices, rent increases, and other essential tasks.
  • Creating and distributing mail correspondence and electronic notices, keeping residents informed.
  • Supporting the Property Manager with office tasks and projects, contributing to the team's success.
  • Addressing and resolving residents' questions, concerns, and complaints in a timely manner, maintaining a positive community spirit.
  • Overseeing the timely and successful completion of maintenance requests, escalating issues to management staff as needed.
  • Visiting properties when required, ensuring they meet company standards.
  • Being available on weekends to address maintenance requests, demonstrating flexibility and dedication.
  • Performing other duties as assigned, adapting to changing priorities and needs.

In order to excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field.
  • One (1) year of property management experience, with a strong understanding of industry practices.
