Job Summary

As a key member of the Ecommerce team at Goodwill of the San Francisco Bay, the Ecommerce Lead plays a vital role in guiding a cohort of staff members in the identification, authentication, appraisal, listing, and distribution of products for retail and online stores, as well as the salvage business. This role acts as a backup to the Ecommerce Supervisor, helping to set priorities and goals for the team, ensuring accountability for daily performance, and overseeing team management and other responsibilities.

This role works under one of the following lines of business: fashion, jewelry, electronics, books & media, fulfillment, collectibles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assists Ecommerce Supervisor in leading the Ecommerce team, including acting as backup, directing production goals, and coordinating break times when the Supervisor is not present.
  • Owns daily production goals through execution of management priorities and provides special item shipping expertise.
  • Oversees complex evaluation and quality assurance.
  • Provides hands-on training and mentoring of the team through daily stand-ups, one-on-ones, and coaching logs.
  • Analyzes and compiles reports and daily production tracking metrics.
  • Helps build and maintain strong training documentation for all aspects of the e-commerce process.

Requirements
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience selling items online
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience working with e-commerce specialty functions (e.g., jewelry, fashion, collectibles, books & media, electronics, inventory)
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prior experience leading a team is preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Sense of urgency while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Extensive knowledge in at least one area of the lines of business preferred
  • Excellent in-person, phone, and electronic-based interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work cooperatively with diverse groups of individuals from various educational, social, and economic backgrounds
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to influence and partner/collaborate with others
  • Ability to utilize self-learning systems
  • Possess a professional demeanor, poise under pressure, with strong attention to detail, and well-developed time management skills
  • Proficiency with, and ability to conduct, intermediate tasks within Microsoft Office Suite applications and various cloud-based office applications
  • Bilingual in Mandarin or Cantonese is a plus
  • Must be able to type 40+ WPM
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs unassisted
  • Ability to stand on hard surfaces for an extended period
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays
