Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance Strategy Development
Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy that includes preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs. Ensure that all maintenance activities are aligned with production goals and company objectives.
Team LeadershipLead, mentor, and manage a team of maintenance technicians and engineers. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure the team operates efficiently and effectively.
Equipment MaintenanceOversee the maintenance and repair of all production equipment, machinery, and systems. Ensure that equipment is maintained to the highest standards to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
Preventive MaintenanceImplement and manage a preventive maintenance program that schedules regular inspections, servicing, and repairs to prevent equipment failures and extend the life of assets.
Safety and CompliancePromote a culture of safety within the maintenance team and across the facility. Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Budget ManagementDevelop and manage the maintenance budget, including labor, materials, and capital expenditures. Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety or performance.
Spare Parts and Inventory ManagementManage spare parts inventory to ensure critical components are available when needed, while minimizing excess inventory costs. Develop relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of parts.
Continuous ImprovementIdentify opportunities for continuous improvement in maintenance practices, equipment performance, and operational efficiency. Implement best practices and lead initiatives to enhance the overall maintenance function.
Emergency ResponseLead and coordinate the response to any equipment breakdowns or facility emergencies. Ensure that the team is prepared to act quickly and effectively to minimize disruption to production.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Leader in a similar role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in high-volume manufacturing.
- Strong technical knowledge of industrial equipment, machinery, and maintenance practices.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on efficiency and safety.
- Proficiency in maintenance management software (CMMS) and familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations, industry standards, and compliance requirements.
- Budget management experience with the ability to optimize costs while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
