Position Overview:
Bering Straits Native Corporation (BSNC) is seeking a qualified Performance Dietitian to enhance the Human Performance Program. This role is pivotal in delivering nutritional expertise in a dynamic and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement nutrition policies and programs in alignment with established guidelines.
- Act as the nutrition authority, providing consultancy to support a holistic fitness initiative for aircrew members.
- Utilize comprehensive principles of dietetics and behavior modification to design, execute, and assess performance nutrition programs.
- Create and present relevant educational materials for all human performance curricula.
- Collaborate with human performance personnel to evaluate dietary behaviors and requirements of the target population using appropriate tools and research.
- Ensure compliance with data management and reporting standards in program execution.
- Facilitate communication of nutrition initiatives among leadership and beneficiaries.
- Employ effective marketing strategies to achieve program objectives.
- Conduct educational sessions, briefings, and wellness consultations as necessary.
- Review dietary records to provide assessments for dietetic treatment when required.
- Maintain all necessary professional credentials and licenses.
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of all facilities and equipment used in dietetic services.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in Nutrition and Dietetics.
- A minimum of three years of relevant professional experience.
- Eligibility for certification as a Specialist in Sports Dietetics.
Skills and Attributes:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a related field such as nutrition education or public health.
- Experience with tactical populations.
Physical Requirements:
Must maintain a state of mental alertness and be capable of performing essential functions that may include prolonged periods of standing, walking, or sitting.
Work Environment:
This role is conducted in a gym or classroom setting, with occasional travel as needed.
Additional Information:
Applicants must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check. Preference is given to BSNC shareholders and their descendants.
