Audiology Department Coordinator

About the Role
The University of California, Irvine is seeking an experienced Audiology Department Coordinator to provide administrative support to the Audiology Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing policy and procedures, applying administrative guidelines, and problem-solving for resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-level administrative support to the department through spreadsheet management, calendar and patient scheduling.
- Screen incoming phone calls using independent judgment in determining appropriate referrals and obtaining authorizations.
- Manage department equipment and supply orders.
Requirements
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of participant and/or patients records and other sensitive information.
- Excellent administrative and customer service skills.
- Ability to exercise independent thinking and judgment in order to effectively complete assigned projects in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated skills and knowledge of computer software applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience working in an academic institution.
