Join Our Team of School Social Workers

At AnthroMed Education, we are committed to providing our school social workers with the necessary support and resources to be successful in their careers. We are currently interviewing social workers interested in supporting students in an Oak Park school setting.

Our Process:
  • We will invite qualified applicants to a Zoom meeting to learn about our process and the support we provide.
  • We will match you to schools that we partner with based on your preferences and qualifications.
  • You will have the opportunity to interview with our school partners to learn more about the caseload, school culture, and specifics for each role.
AnthroMed Support:

We have a dedicated LCSW Director of Social Work who provides caseload support throughout the school year.

You will gain access to professional development opportunities, guest speaker series, a robust materials database, and more.

We offer a generous materials stipend for the school year and will reimburse you for 100% of your licensure fees.

Responsibilities:

As a school social worker, you will provide individual and group counseling to students to address personal, social, and academic issues.

You will develop and implement intervention strategies to improve student behavior and academic performance.

You will conduct social-emotional assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans.

You will respond to and manage crisis situations involving students, including mental health emergencies and family crises.

You will provide support and resources to students and families in times of crisis.

You will work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to develop and implement strategies to support student success.

You will consult with parents, guardians, and external agencies to coordinate services and resources for students.

You will participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide input on social-emotional goals and supports.

You will develop and implement programs and initiatives to promote a positive school climate and address issues such as bullying, attendance, and mental health.

You will conduct workshops and training sessions for students, parents, and staff on topics related to social-emotional learning and well-being.

You will advocate for students' needs and rights within the school and the broader community.

You will connect students and families with community resources and services, including mental health providers, social services, and other support agencies.

You will maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions, assessments, and interventions.

Qualifications:

You must have a Master's Degree in Social Work and approval to work in schools in Michigan.

Previous school social work experience is preferred, but new graduates are also welcome to apply.
