Job Description

AnthroMed Education is seeking a skilled School Social Worker to join our team in Oak Park. As a trusted partner to over 100 school districts, we provide a supportive environment for our clinicians to thrive.

As a School Social Worker with AnthroMed, you will work closely with students, teachers, and administrators to create a positive school climate and address social-emotional issues. Your expertise will be invaluable in developing and implementing intervention strategies to improve student behavior and academic performance.

Our comprehensive support includes:

  • A dedicated LCSW Director of Social Work for caseload support
  • Access to professional development opportunities, CEUs, and guest speaker series
  • A generous materials stipend for the school year
  • Reimbursement for licensure fees

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to students
  • Develop and implement intervention strategies
  • Conduct social-emotional assessments and develop treatment plans
  • Respond to crisis situations and provide support to students and families
  • Collaborate with teachers and administrators to develop strategies for student success
  • Consult with parents and external agencies to coordinate services
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on social-emotional goals
  • Develop programs and initiatives to promote a positive school climate
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions on social-emotional learning and well-being
  • Advocate for students' needs and rights
  • Connect students and families with community resources

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work
  • Approval to work in schools in MI - SW310
  • Previous school social work experience preferred
