Accounting Internship Opportunity

Marathon Petroleum Corporation is committed to developing the next generation of accounting professionals. As an accounting intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various areas of the business, including financial analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements
  • Analyze and process business documents, including invoices and receipts
  • Prepare general ledger account reconcilements and journal entries
  • Assist in the preparation of tax information and financial reports
  • Develop and maintain financial models and spreadsheets
Qualifications:
  • Major in Accounting or related field
  • Strong academic performance
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without the need for employment visa sponsorship
  • Positions are available spring, summer, and fall semesters
  • Concurrent enrollment in a Bachelors degree (or higher) seeking program for the duration of the experience
  • Must be able to provide reliable transportation to and from place of work
  • Military experience a plus
  • Availability to work 40 hours per week
  • MIN - $19.33 per hour / MAX - $24.16 per hour
