Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at Oshkosh Corporation. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for safely assembling equipment by following detailed instructions from supervisors and trainers. This role requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble equipment components by following detailed instructions and using a variety of mechanical, electrical, and manual tools.
- Operate power equipment and wrenching techniques to assemble parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics onto trucks.
- Drill holes for wires, hoses, and small parts, and use a torch, plasma cutter, or grinder to cut and shape parts.
- Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements, and install various truck accessories.
- Lift and stack completed subassemblies and parts up to 40 lbs and team lift up to 80lbs.
- Train and work in various areas of assembly in response to production demands, and follow verbal and written work instructions.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- 6+ months of experience in a manufacturing or general labor industry.
- Ability to work overtime and/or 7 days a week, regular attendance required.
- 1+ year(s) of experience in an assembly or mechanical occupation.
