This position focuses on proactive automation controls and technical assistance for our fulfillment center operations, aiming to enhance equipment reliability and overall operational efficiency. The primary responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing and organizing work activities for Control Systems Technicians and Leads
  • Collaborating with diverse teams to support the optimization of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) systems
  • Maintaining and diagnosing material handling control systems
  • Tracking MHE performance metrics and working with maintenance and operations teams to address system performance challenges
  • Providing escalation support for technical challenges
  • Guiding and mentoring Control Systems Technicians and Leads
  • Implementing process enhancements to prevent future incidents
  • Facilitating Failure Analysis and Incident Review procedures
  • Partnering with equipment vendors and parts suppliers for the installation of new technologies
  • Communicating technical challenges and project timelines with leadership
  • Managing a flexible workload and participating in conference calls
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of 2 years of experience as an Amazon Blue Badge/FTE
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Familiarity with electrical theory, robotics, and control components
  • Hands-on experience in industrial electrical systems and troubleshooting
  • Capability to lead others in a technical capacity
  • Demonstrated experience in providing remote technical support
  • Knowledge of advanced automation control systems
