Preschool Administrative and Classroom Assistant

Sonnets Academy is seeking a compassionate, patient, and skilled individual for the role of Preschool Administrative and Classroom Assistant. This versatile candidate should possess a genuine interest and/or experience in Early Childhood Education and will collaborate with the Director to ensure smooth daily operations of the program.
Key Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, particularly in early childhood education or child development.
- At least 21 credits in Early Childhood Education or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 credits in administration, leadership, or management, or possess a Level One Director Credential through Gateway for Opportunities.
- Preferred one year of experience in an administrative role.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Strong organizational capabilities.
Core Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director in ensuring compliance with DCFS, local health regulations, and other relevant agency standards.
- Manage front desk operations, including handling phone inquiries, filing, and email communication with parents.
- Provide support in classrooms during teachers' scheduled planning periods.
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned.
- Work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 1:30 or 2:00 PM to 6:15 PM.
