About the Role

Erie Neighborhood House is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Preschool Lead Teacher to join our team. As a key member of our early childhood education program, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational and personal growth of our young students.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans in collaboration with the classroom team.
  • Provide a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective classroom environment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure a smooth transition between home and school.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Illinois Gateways ECE credential level 4.
  • Bilingual/bicultural Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
  • Background Check: Criminal, Child Abuse and Neglect, and Sex Offender background checks mandatory.
