Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Faculty member to join our team in Pediatrics-Neonatology at Augusta University. The successful candidate will provide clinical care for neonatal patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, diagnose and treat a wide range of disorders, and develop treatment plans. The position will also involve teaching and mentoring residents, medical students, and staff in pediatrics.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, comprehensive care in Neonatology, including diagnosis and treatment of neonatal disorders.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for neonatal patients.
  • Teach and mentor residents, medical students, and staff in pediatrics, including clinical supervision and consultation.
  • Participate in on-call duties with other faculty members.
  • Meet all metrics associated with Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE), including attendance at quality meetings and completion of online compliance training modules.
Requirements
  • Medical degree from an accredited medical school or equivalent.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Neonatology.
  • Eligibility for a state of Georgia medical license and Federal DEA.
  • PALS/CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and people management skills.
