Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Radiology Assistant to join our team at LifeSpan. As a Radiology Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting the daily operations of our Diagnostic Imaging division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist radiographers with portable radiographic procedures, ensuring accurate patient identification and preparation for examinations.
  • Transport patients and equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to established safety procedures and precautions.
  • Prepare rooms and equipment for radiographic procedures, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Provide exceptional patient care, adapting to the physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs of adult and geriatric patients.
  • Collaborate with radiographers and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and efficient department operations.
Requirements
  • Equivalent to high school diploma.
  • Ability to interact effectively with patients, visitors, and hospital staff of all levels.
  • Ability to read and write English and perform basic arithmetic computations.
  • Interpersonal and language skills to exchange information with other hospital personnel, patients, visitors, and vendors.
  • Minimum of three months' experience in a patient-care setting, preferably in a healthcare environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Experience working with medical and office equipment, with direct patient contact.
