The SHE Manager at INEOS KOH plays a pivotal role in delivering technical expertise in safety, health, and environmental practices. This position is responsible for developing and implementing corporate safety and health initiatives while collaborating closely with the environmental team. The SHE Manager ensures that all SHE protocols are strictly adhered to, maintaining compliance with both state and federal regulations.
In this leadership role, the jobholder supervises a team of 2 direct reports and 1 consultant focused on environmental projects. The SHE Manager works in partnership with colleagues across Operations, Engineering/Quality, and Maintenance to enhance safety, health, and environmental performance.
The jobholder is an integral part of the leadership team, expected to exemplify key organizational values such as safety, accountability, innovation, and professionalism. Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring that all team members possess the necessary skills for their roles.
- Identifying key performance indicators and inspiring the team to meet or exceed expectations.
- Establishing succession plans to maintain a fully staffed organization.
- Developing and mentoring high-potential individuals.
- Collaborating with team members to address and resolve performance challenges.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in safety management, occupational safety and health, environmental science, chemistry, engineering, or a related field is highly preferred.
- A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in a SHE, operations, or engineering capacity within a manufacturing setting.
- Extensive knowledge of safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities.
- Familiarity with OSHA and EPA compliance standards.
- Expertise in incident investigation and root cause analysis techniques.
- Understanding of ISO systems and procedures.
- Strong organizational, planning, and follow-through skills.
- Commitment to high ethical standards.
- Proficiency in various software applications, particularly Microsoft Office Suite and SAP.
