Job Summary

Signature Health is seeking a highly skilled Counselor, Crisis Presecreener to join our team. As a key member of our Behavioral Health department, you will provide exceptional professional prescreening assessments within the community, executing appropriate crisis intervention and treatment services to clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct professional crisis assessments and interventions on an on-call basis at multiple site locations to determine the appropriate levels of care for safety and welfare of the client and others.
  • Provide diagnostic assessments, including provisional diagnoses with appropriate disposition and pre-hospitalization screening to clients.
  • Facilitate hospitalization coordination of care when clinically appropriate and feasible.
  • Maintain client charting in accordance with Medicaid, JCAHO, ODADAS, ODMH, and professional standards.
  • Encourage engagement and participate in all assigned staff meetings and staff development programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Valid unencumbered LSW, LISW, LPC, LPCC, LIMFT, or MFT License in the state of Ohio required.
  • 1-3+ years of experience in the Behavioral Healthcare field is required.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Working Conditions

Work may be performed in a typical interior/office/clinical work environment, client residences, and in the community. While hours of operation are generally standard, flexibility to work evenings, agency closure days/holidays, and weekends may be required.

Sufficient dexterity to operate a PC and other office equipment.

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
