Geotechnical Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at Insight Global. As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing professional geotechnical engineering services on a variety of public and private sector projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop geotechnical project work scopes, budgets, and proposals.
  • Plan and coordinate field exploration programs, including site reconnaissance.
  • Perform soil and rock classification, and plan and coordinate geotechnical laboratory testing programs.
  • Conduct geotechnical engineering analysis, calculations, and computer modeling.
  • Develop geotechnical engineering design parameters and recommendations.
  • Prepare geotechnical engineering reports and deliverables.
  • Manage geotechnical engineering projects, including project schedules, budgets, and invoicing.
  • Communicate with existing and potential clients.
  • Site visits during construction phase to ensure successful implementation of geotechnical recommendations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related Engineering field of study.
  • Minimum of 3 years of geotechnical work experience.
  • Proficient in engineering software such as gINT.
