General Summary
Collaborate with team members to deliver educational instruction and fulfill reporting obligations as directed by supervisory personnel. Adapt teaching methodologies to accommodate bilingual learners as necessary. Due to the dynamic nature of contractual and programmatic requirements, instructor responsibilities may be adjusted based on programmatic and student needs.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver engaging and structured instruction in accounting principles and QuickBooks certification to students.
• Provide insights and recommendations for student assessments in partnership with supervisory staff.
• Consider individual student employability plans and contribute to monthly progress evaluations. Adjust individual programs as needed.
• Participate in the development of curriculum aligned with educational objectives.
• Engage in center-wide activities, including professional development, program planning, and related events.
• Accept additional assignments that support the center's contractual objectives.
• Address all program-related inquiries.
• Travel to various campuses and satellite locations as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the unit supervisor and administration.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions with staff and students.
Educational Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree is required.
Experience
• Relevant teaching experience or equivalent background is preferred.
• Experience working with underserved communities is advantageous.
• Proficient in computer skills, with strong organizational and interpersonal abilities.
Required Skills and Competencies
• In-depth knowledge of QuickBooks and proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Capability to work effectively with individuals from diverse educational, social, and economic backgrounds.
• Commitment to confidentiality regarding student and staff information.
• Dedication to serving a diverse student body.
• Ability to meet deadlines consistently.
• Willingness to travel to various campuses and satellite locations as needed.
• Flexible scheduling is essential.
• A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation are required.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
• Duties are typically performed in a standard office or educational setting, depending on scheduled activities.
• Some physical effort may be required; the employee may need to lift or move items weighing up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Minimal exposure to physical hazards is expected.
• Travel may be necessary.
