Position Overview:

The Clinical Nurse Specialist plays a vital role in the healthcare team, engaging in a collaborative approach to patient care. This role involves the planning and execution of educational initiatives for patients and their families, while also assessing patient needs and implementing suitable interventions.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather comprehensive information relevant to the patient's health status (Assessment)
  • Evaluate assessment data to establish diagnoses or issues (Diagnosis)
  • Define anticipated outcomes tailored to the individual patient or situation
  • Formulate a care plan that outlines strategies and alternatives to achieve expected outcomes (Plan of Care)
  • Execute the established care plan
  • Utilize strategies to foster health and ensure a safe environment
  • Continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of nursing practices
  • Maintain knowledge and skills that reflect current nursing standards
  • Assess personal nursing practice against professional standards and regulations
  • Engage with and support the professional growth of colleagues
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and others in nursing practice
  • Incorporate ethical considerations in all aspects of practice
  • Apply research findings to enhance practice
  • Demonstrate leadership within the professional setting and the nursing field
