Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a highly qualified Windows Administrator to become part of its Classified Solutions team in Woodland Hills, CA.
Please note that due to the classified nature of this role, the selected candidate will be required to work on-site, full-time, at our Woodland Hills, CA campus, and this is not a remote work opportunity.
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:Act as the primary Windows Systems Administrator for a substantial classified government contract.
Effectively communicate at all organizational levels with internal or external stakeholders, both in written and verbal formats.
Ensure the efficient operation of the entire IT infrastructure, encompassing servers, desktops, and networking equipment.
Support multiple networks and ensure essential IT administration tasks are executed independently as required.
Analyze customer requirements, both internal and external, and recommend equipment and software solutions to address challenges through automated systems.
Propose and implement system enhancements to improve performance and reliability, including installation, upgrades/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management.
Provide backup and recovery services, manage file systems and disk space, and oversee virus protection routinely as directed by policy.
Test new product releases to ensure compatibility and minimize user disruption.
Develop and maintain technical processes and procedures as necessary.
Maintain security audit and logging information on all classified networked and standalone computers as directed by the Cyber Security team.
Report project status as required for all recurring and non-recurring efforts.
Basic Qualifications:
Associate's degree with 7 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 3 years of experience; a High School diploma or equivalent with 9 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree.
Technical Abilities:
Experience maintaining Classified Windows Domains in effective operations, including a working knowledge of the following: Active Directory (AD) maintenance and support, Group Policy (GPO), DNS management, DHCP and scopes, Windows Server Update Servers (WSUS), SCCM or similar update service, supporting golden image deployment and underlying infrastructure, and experience working with vulnerability scanning tools.
Clearance and Access:
Candidates must possess a current DoD Top Secret level security clearance (at a minimum), including a closed investigation date completed within the last 6 years, or must be enrolled in the DoD Continuous Evaluation Program (CEP), to be considered; the required security clearance must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP/SAR) clearance as a condition of continued employment.
Non-Technical Abilities and Certifications:
Currently valid Security+ CE, CASP, CISSP, or similar DoD 8570 security certification; the required certification must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.
Ability to travel as needed.
Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
Ability to work after hours and weekends as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience delivering technical presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience providing surge support to other programs as needed.
Active vendor-based IT certification.

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers various factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
