Job Summary

As a key member of our budgeting team, you will be responsible for executing comprehensive budget projections and adjustments for assigned programs, encompassing salaries and benefits, contractual services, and other costs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive guidance, consultation, and recommendations to the Law Enforcement Program to ensure it meets and accomplishes its overall service priorities within the allocated budget.
  • Analyze the program's financial needs, identify potential areas for cost savings, and ensure that all expenditures align with the program's strategic goals.
  • Work closely with program leaders to understand their objectives and operational requirements.
  • Offer expert advice on budget planning and resource allocation to support these goals effectively.
  • Regularly review financial reports and budget forecasts, providing actionable insights to help the program adapt to changing circumstances and maintain fiscal responsibility.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration and four (4) years of experience in accounting, finance, economics and/or statistical analysis.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook) and SHARE Financial and Human Capital Management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with program leaders, staff, and external stakeholders.
Working Conditions

This position is located in a law enforcement office setting with exposure to armed personnel, Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required. Occasionally work extra hours, weekends and holidays. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
