Clinical Laboratory Scientist Generalist Job Description

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Scientist Generalist to join our team at Royalty Medical Solutions. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.

**Responsibilities**

* Perform a range of laboratory tests and procedures, including hematology, clinical chemistry, microbiology, immunology, serology, urinalysis, blood banking, molecular diagnostics, cytology, and immunohematology.

* Ensure all tests are conducted accurately and in a timely manner.

* Follow laboratory policies and procedures and maintain accurate records of all tests performed.

* Communicate test results and analysis to medical staff, including pathologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.

* Perform and document quality control procedures and participate in the evaluation of new testing methods and equipment.

* Maintain proper inventory of supplies and equipment, and perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments.

* Adhere to all safety and quality guidelines and regulations.

* Continuously stay updated with new developments and advancements in laboratory science.

* Assist in the training and supervision of lab assistants and other personnel.

* Participate in continuing education and maintain appropriate certification and licensure.

**Requirements**

* Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field.

* Current Clinical Laboratory Scientist license from a recognized certifying agency.

* Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Generalist in a clinical laboratory environment.

* Proficient in laboratory techniques, procedures, and safety protocols.

* Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

* Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a team.

* Strong organizational and time management abilities.
