Class B CDL Equipment Operator

About the Role:
Clean Harbors, a leading industrial cleaning and environmental services company, is seeking a CDL Class B Equipment Operator to join their team in Monroe, MI. As a CDL Class B Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for transporting hazardous waste from generators to Clean Harbors facilities and outside disposal facilities, adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) and hazardous waste regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport hazardous waste in a safe and efficient manner, following DOT and hazardous waste regulations.
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste, adhering to weight limits and utilizing company equipment effectively.
- Responsible for maintaining daily logs, worksheets, timecards, expense reports, dispatch & trip reports, and vehicle inspection reports.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and Health & Safety procedures, Department of Transportation (DOT), Hazardous Materials/Waste (HAZMAT), and RCRA requirements.
- Adhere to assigned milk run schedules of pick-ups and drop-offs.
- Communicate regularly with Coordinators regarding daily times and demurrage.
- Maintain a professional appearance and courteous demeanor with internal and external customers.
- Maintain and clean assigned company equipment, ensuring it is mechanically sound and in good working order.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of verifiable vacuum truck service within the commercial trucking industry.
- Possess Hazardous Waste and Tank Endorsements.
- Possess a Valid CDL Class A or B with X (Haz-mat and Tanker) endorsement and an acceptable driving record.
- Able to use Mobile Computer.
- Able to work with little to no direct supervision and an aptitude to complete assigned work.
