Key Responsibilities

  • Establish new projects accurately in the financial management system.
  • Regularly assess job progress and expenses in collaboration with project leaders to confirm cost accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Generate comprehensive Job Costing Reports.
  • Proactively address job-related issues with project leaders and management as necessary.
  • Prepare customized job reports as requested by project leaders.
  • Ensure the accounting team is informed about invoicing tasks, including progress billing.
  • Assist in month-end closing procedures, including revenue recognition, job margin reporting, and work-in-process reconciliation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in project accounting; experience in sectors such as construction, manufacturing, or professional services with intricate job costing requirements is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing variances and purchase price variances (PPV).
  • High level of expertise in completion accounting.
  • Experience in enhancing processes within the billing and costing cycle.
  • Aptitude for thriving in a dynamic, results-oriented environment.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with team members.
