We are a dynamic and innovative company within the energy storage industry, seeking a seasoned Permanent Controller to oversee our financial operations and drive sustainable growth. As a key member of our executive management team, you will be responsible for budget management, financial analysis, forecasting, and ensuring the functionality of our business. Your expertise in finance, accounting, and budgeting will be instrumental in shaping our financial strategy and securing our future growth. Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing all company accounting practices, including accounting departments, preparing budgets, financial reports, tax, and audit functions.
• Directing financial strategy, planning, and forecasts, conferring with the CEO, COO, and Board of Directors.
• Conducting insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues.
• Studying long-range economic trends and projecting their impact on future growth in sales and market share.
• Participating in key decisions as a member of the executive management team.
• Coordinating the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and information reports.
• Developing and implementing finance, accounting, billing, and auditing procedures.
• Establishing and maintaining appropriate internal control safeguards.
• Interacting with other managers to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendations.
• Ensuring records systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline. MBA, CPA, or CMA certification is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
• Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
• Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
• Proven strategic planning experience at the management level.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, with advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
