Job Title: Director of Engineering Leadership

We are seeking a seasoned Director of Engineering Leadership with a strong background in Satellite Communications and reflector antenna systems to lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and financial acumen to drive innovation and growth in our IRAD programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers to design, develop, and implement cutting-edge solutions in Satellite Communications.
  • Oversee financial management, including P&L, budgeting, and financial analysis to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Develop and sustain IRAD programs to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product development and ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Advocate for process improvements to increase efficiency and enhance quality.
  • Provide strategic technical direction and mitigate risks to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, including executive leadership and customers, to report on project progress and financial health.
  • Manage and mentor the engineering team to ensure appropriate staffing, training, and development to support growth and operational excellence.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years of engineering management experience in SATCOM or a related industry.
  • Extensive experience in reflector antenna systems within the satellite communications domain, along with expertise in RF, ME, and EE.
  • Advanced experience in IRAD management and driving innovation in the SatCom sector.
  • Strong experience managing P&L, budgeting, EAC, and financial analysis.
  • Proven ability to lead large, multi-disciplinary engineering teams in a functional matrix organization.
  • Excellent financial, technical, and organizational skills, including MS Office and MS project proficiency.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical and business concepts to senior management and customers.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Must be able to travel up to 25% (domestic and international).
