Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacy Manager to lead our clinical pharmacy services at the health-system level. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing daily operations, developing and implementing clinical initiatives, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Expert Review Panels composed of pharmacists, doctors, and other healthcare members to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and lead comprehensive multidisciplinary clinical initiatives for therapeutic management of disease states, medication appropriateness, and formulary optimization in various clinical areas.
  • Develop and implement initiative tracking activities, including clinical decision support, dashboards, clinical outcomes, medication use evaluation, site and system utilization, formulary management, contracting, and pharmacoeconomics.
  • Act as a liaison to support clinical pharmacy activities between the market level and national pharmacy team.
  • Conduct competency assessments and coordinate the training and development of pharmacists, pharmacy residents, and pharmacy students.
  • Develop and manage departmental budget to promote pharmacoeconomics.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations.
Requirements
  • Pharmacist licensure obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensure required relevant to state in which work is performed.
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
  • 3 years of experience required OR a graduate from an accredited Health System Pharmacy Administration residency program required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of PGY1 and/or PGY2 Residency
  • 5+ years experience as a clinical pharmacist in an inpatient and/or clinical setting
  • 1+ years of mentorship, leadership, or management experience
  • Experience with project management
  • Board Certification (BCPS or BCACP, BCOP)
  • Experience in Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee(s)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
