Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Management System (BMS) Application Specialist to join our team at M.C. Dean, Inc. As a key member of our virtualization and maintenance team, you will play a critical role in the successful operation of our enterprise BMS application systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure primary and secondary virtual servers to ensure seamless system operation.
  • Collaborate with local service providers to migrate BMS controllers from local administration to the enterprise virtual environment.
  • Configure network and user access to ensure secure and efficient system operation.
  • Configure and test alert distribution to ensure timely notifications.
  • Commission the virtualized system and perform turnover to the operations team.
  • Monitor system performance and implement performance tuning to optimize system efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot system alerts and initiate service tickets to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Develop playbooks by documenting daily functions and the troubleshooting process to ensure knowledge sharing and best practices.
Requirements
  • Experience programming and managing a BMS system.
  • System experience operating BMS applications such as oTridium Niagara, Siemens Desigo CC, Schneider EcoStruxture, Alterton Compass, or Sauter Vision Center.
  • BMS application management experience with technologies such as Lighting Controls, Leakage Detection, Temperature Sensor, Compressed Air Pumps, Energy Power Meter, Indoor/Outdoor Air Quality, Battery System Monitor, Building Shades, Solar Power Monitoring, SCADA, or HVAC.
  • Strong oral, technical writing, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build productive relationships with team members, clients, and other network/system stakeholders.
Work Environment

Required time in the office is 3 days/week, with the option to work remotely on other days. On-site requirements are subject to change and may increase at any time.

Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of experience.
  • Associates degree with 8 years of experience.
  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience.
Physical Demands
  • Exposure to computer screens for an extended period.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction.
  • Finger dexterity to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms.
  • Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
