Position Summary:

At Vail Resorts, service is at the core of our mission, and our Ski Patrol team plays a crucial role in ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all. The Ski Patrol is responsible for safeguarding the well-being of both staff and guests on the mountain, demonstrating alertness and reliability while effectively managing emergencies as they arise.

Position Specifications:

  • Expected Pay Range: $23.26 per hour
  • Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time and Part Time
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Expert-level Alpine skiing skills are mandatory.
    • Current Colorado EMT or higher medical certification with a focus on Emergency Medicine is required.
    • Experience in Avalanche, Climbing, Rescue, or similar fields is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure guest safety on the mountain.
  • Provide assistance to injured guests.
  • Maintain trails, including closures, safety signage, avalanche control, and addressing natural environmental impacts.
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Successfully pass the resort's Ski Patrol sponsored ski assessment.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
  • Exceptional guest service skills are required.
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions in a high-altitude environment.
  • Manual dexterity to operate necessary equipment.
  • Must possess sufficient sight, speech, and hearing capabilities to learn skills and follow directions.

The expected pay range for this position is $23.26 per hour. This reflects the compensation we anticipate for this role, with individual decisions based on various factors.
