Senior Project Engineer

Loureiro Engineering Associates is a leading environmental consulting firm seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects, collaborate with experienced professionals, and contribute to the growth and success of our company.

Responsibilities:
  • Technical supervision for the construction phase of environmental remediation projects, including bid preparation, remedial system design, and review of shop drawings/specification/product data.
  • Field oversight of contractors for performance, quality, schedule, safety, and technical effectiveness.
  • Evaluation of remedial technologies for site-specific applications, conduct of pilot studies, and development of designs for site-specific implementation.
  • Preparation for field tasks and execution of field work, including air, soil, sediment, and groundwater sampling, remedial construction management or oversight, and installation of monitoring wells.
  • Conduct of environmental field studies and surveys, and working as part of a field team to conduct investigation and/or oversight projects.
  • Technical support as part of a project team performing preliminary assessments, site investigations, remedial investigations/actions, site surveys, and feasibility studies.
  • Office tasks, including organization of project data, data analysis, compilation of field data for project archives and reporting, and authoring of reports.
  • Writing and supporting the writing of documents, including field oversight documentation reports, field reports, health and safety plans, quality assurance project plans, and remedial investigation reports.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering, or other related disciplines.
  • EIT (required).
  • Professional Engineering Licenses (preferred).
  • 5-10 years' experience in environmental consulting.
  • Prior experience overseeing and working with subcontractors, including drillers, construction workers, surveyors, etc.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and technical writing skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and database and data visualization software (EQuIS, EnviroInsite, GIS).
  • Interest and/or experience with environmental site investigation/remediation.
  • Ability to travel on short-term assignments as needed.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and demanding environment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, walking, hiking, and standing.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time.
  • Mobility control of hands to setup equipment, handle samples, and operate tools.
  • Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.
