About the Role

Loureiro Engineering Associates is seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our industrial wastewater treatment design team. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects and contribute to the company's mission of being an indispensable partner to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Perform engineering calculations to support the design of industrial wastewater treatment systems, including selecting and specifying equipment and preparing engineering drawings.
  • Field Studies and Reporting: Conduct field studies and prepare written reports for new and existing industrial and manufacturing facilities, including water audits, wastewater audits, and wastewater treatability studies.
  • Project Management: Oversee wastewater treatment system construction and installation, and perform field work in support of new and existing systems, including system commissioning, equipment calibration, and controls upgrades.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other focus areas within the Facility Engineering Division, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP), and energy.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering or chemical engineering with 3-8 years of experience.
  • Certifications and Skills: Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is a plus, and previous experience performing work in an industrial and manufacturing setting is also a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Work Environment: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, with the ability to lift up to 15 lbs and work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.
  • Adherence to Safety Protocols: Adherence to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment.
