Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Bridge Engineer to enhance our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Department of Transportation (DOT) bridge projects and hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license. You will collaborate with engineers, project managers, and technical staff to plan, design, and oversee structural engineering projects, focusing on bridges and related structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in creating project plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
  • Engage in all phases of projects, including design development and site visits during construction.
  • Deliver high-quality outputs while adhering to budget and timelines across multiple projects.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, clients, and public agencies.
  • Mentor junior staff and oversee their tasks.
  • Conduct quality assurance and quality control on bridge and structural design projects.
  • Support marketing initiatives to secure future projects.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have:

  • A B.S. degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • A minimum of 5 years of structural design experience.
  • Experience with DOT projects and a valid PE license or the ability to obtain one within six months.
  • NBIS Certification as a Bridge Inspector is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in structural engineering design software for preparing engineering documents.
  • Experience in designing and analyzing both new and rehabilitated bridges, including various structural elements.
  • Familiarity with drafting software such as MicroStation is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a dependable work ethic.
