We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Civil/Structural Engineer for a hybrid role. The primary duties of this position include conducting field inspections and performing civil and structural engineering tasks in the office. This role also entails initiating and maintaining Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs) and ensuring the safe execution of work by field technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and conduct field inspections for structural integrity in power delivery and transmission projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Initiate and uphold Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs) to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Supervise field technicians to ensure adherence to safety protocols and standards.
  • Assist in the design and analysis of civil and structural components related to power transmission systems.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive inspection reports and documentation.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers on structural analysis and design tasks.
  • Participate in project meetings and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and company practices in all work.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • EIT/FE certification is required.
  • Demonstrated interest or coursework in power delivery, transmission systems, or related fields.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Clean driving record and willingness to travel; some overnight stays may be necessary.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating proactive problem-solving skills.

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with engineering software such as PLS Applications, GIS, AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, FAD Tools, Ensoft products, Mathcad, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
