Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate precise cost estimates for underground construction projects, factoring in labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Analyze project plans and specifications to ascertain the total estimated project costs.
  • Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and contractors to collect information regarding the necessary resources and their costs.
  • Review and validate cost estimates to ensure they are accurate, thorough, and compliant with contractual requirements.
  • Engage in proposal presentations, project discussions, and contract negotiations as necessary.
  • Maintain an extensive database of current cost estimating information to support future project planning and estimations.

Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience as an Estimator within the Engineering sector, specifically focusing on Underground Construction.

  • Proficient in utilizing cost estimating software and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a keen ability to accurately compute and interpret cost data.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on precision and quality.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in cost estimation.
  • Strong negotiation skills to secure optimal costs for resources and services.
