Job Summary:

The Yavapai County Recorder's Office is seeking a skilled Record Clerk II to perform a variety of tasks related to the recording process. This role involves analyzing documents, assisting the public, and managing the recording process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Document Analysis: Analyze documents received for recording, ensuring compliance with current recording standards.
  • Public Assistance: Assist the public with researching recorded documents, generating certified copies, and completing the recording process.
  • Recording Process Management: Manage the multiple stages of the recording process, including recording, scanning, indexing, and verifying.
  • Financial Transactions: Calculate and collect recording and copy fees, make correct change, and balance end-of-day cash drawers.
  • Other Duties: Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: A minimum of one year of land title, real estate, or general administrative experience.
  • Additional Requirements: Must possess a valid Arizona driver's license without restrictions.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of: Comprehension and understanding of office policies, procedures, and state statutes with extreme attention to detail for each document type and statutorily required information.
  • Business English: Business English, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and composition.
  • Clerical Office Practices: Clerical office practices and procedures.
  • Research Techniques: Research techniques and report writing.
  • Software Proficiency: Current Microsoft Office software.
  • Filing and Recordkeeping: Filing and recordkeeping.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Communication: Communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and communicate orally in a face-to-face setting and by telephone with the public and employees.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies, and the public.
  • Organization and Attention to Detail: Organization and adherence to detail.
Physical Requirements:

The ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, sufficient vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, hearing and speech ability to communicate effectively in-person and telephonically, and the capability to lift up to 30 pounds.
