Overview

Mercy is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, assessing patients' physical and emotional needs, and developing individualized care plans to meet those needs.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, including ordering and administering medications, performing diagnostic tests, and developing treatment plans.
  • Monitor patients' conditions, identifying and responding to changes in their status, and communicating effectively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices that enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of hire and/or compact licensure.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
  • One or more of the following certifications may be required based on the position/unit hired to: ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, BLS, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., C-EFM.
