Accounting Leadership Role

Children's Aid is a dynamic and mission-driven organization dedicated to supporting the needs of children and families. As a key member of our Fiscal team, the Senior AP Manager will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Accounts Payable function. This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and business acumen.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Accounts Payable team, developing and implementing efficient operating processes, and maintaining a strong internal control environment. This includes reviewing and ensuring the timely and accurate posting of invoices, payments, and other entries, and supervising and prioritizing work, resolving issues, and reviewing team's work and monitoring their workloads.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field, plus five years of experience managing an accounts payable department, or seven or more proven years of progressively responsible accounts payable experience including supervision of multiple staff. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains or similar accounting systems, MS advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong work ethic and professionalism in engagement with supervisors, peers, and junior staff. Ability to work closely with other CA central Fiscal units, Programmatic Divisions, and multiple administrative units across CA and its affiliates. Commitment to mentoring, training, and retaining a diverse and inclusive team and demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex work environment with a diverse constituency.
Estimated Salary
$95,000 - $105,000 per year, based on location and experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including comprehensive health insurance, retirement plan, and generous paid time off.
