Position Overview:
Lockheed Martin is on the lookout for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic Precision Fires Manufacturing Engineering team.

Role Responsibilities:
This role encompasses support for both the development and production phases of the Precision Strike Missile (PrSM) system. Key activities may include leading Production Line Validations, conducting supplier visits, providing internal manufacturing shop support, managing Earned Value Management, and supporting proposals, tooling, and design reviews focused on manufacturability.

Key Duties Include:
- Assisting with hardware and tooling for Mechanical/Electrical components and Supply Chain
- Overseeing Production Line Validations
- Conducting Engineering Release reviews for new and updated design specifications
- Coordinating Make or Buy decisions and management.

Project Context:
The program is approaching the final stages of development, where innovative concepts are tested, designs are refined and qualified, trade studies are conducted, and advanced technologies are evaluated in preparation for production.

Team Mission:
Our primary goal is to ensure that new designs are manufacturable (Design for Manufacturing/Assembly) in a full-rate production environment while maintaining competitive costs (Design to Cost) and adhering to scoped requirements.

Collaboration:
This position will involve working closely with Program Leadership, including Program Managers, IPT Leads, and Chief Engineers, as well as cross-functional teams such as Design Engineering, Quality Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Finance, Production Planning and Control, and Master Planning. Effective communication of program objectives and associated risks is essential.

Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering discipline or a related technical field
- Current Active Secret Clearance
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally.

Preferred Skills:
- Experience in Design for Manufacturing
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Background in process improvement
- Proven ability to analyze and resolve technical/process challenges ranging from basic to complex
- Competency in Computer Aided Design (CAD) software
- Familiarity with SAP
- Experience with Cost/Schedule/Budget management
- Lean/Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
- Earned Value Management System Cost Account Manager (EVMS CAM) experience.

Communication Skills:
- Strong verbal, listening, and technical writing abilities
- Capability to present technical information to non-technical audiences
- Proven interpersonal skills, including team building, collaboration, and fostering long-term business relationships.

Security Clearance:
This position necessitates a government security clearance; candidates must be U.S. Citizens for consideration.
