Position Overview

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our dynamic team. This role offers a flexible part-time schedule, requiring 2-3 days of work per week for a few hours each day.

Role Responsibilities: The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for the comprehensive evaluation, treatment, and supervision of patients facing challenges in communication, cognitive processing, problem-solving, and swallowing. This position involves collaboration with families, physicians, and healthcare teams, ensuring meticulous documentation of services provided. Additionally, the Speech Language Pathologist will conduct training sessions for facility staff on restorative and functional maintenance programs.

Key Duties Include:

  • Conducting patient evaluations for rehabilitation services promptly.
  • Creating effective treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Implementing treatment strategies in accordance with established care plans.
  • Maintaining clear communication with healthcare team members regarding patient progress and concerns.
  • Participating in interdisciplinary meetings and care conferences.
  • Providing in-service training for facility staff.
  • Documenting evaluations, treatment notes, and progress accurately.
  • Instructing families or nursing staff on maintenance programs.
  • Contributing to discharge planning processes.
  • Meeting or exceeding productivity standards set by the organization.
  • Recommending necessary equipment to enhance clinical service delivery.
  • Reporting equipment issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Supervising graduate clinicians from affiliated universities.
  • Adhering to state-specific licensure standards for Speech Pathology.
  • Maintaining an organized and professional work environment.
  • Exemplifying the core values and mission of Concept Rehab in all interactions.
  • Undertaking special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Certification from the American Speech Language Hearing Association.
  • Valid licensure in the state(s) where services are rendered.
