Resource Faculty for Language

Eastern New Mexico University is seeking a highly qualified Resource Faculty for Language to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided by the college.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach courses within the required discipline, utilizing Canvas and delivering instruction on-campus, off-campus, in a hybrid format, or online.
- Develop and manage course syllabi and rubrics, ensuring department and college standards are met.
- Plan and create lectures, in-class discussions, and assignments that promote student learning and engagement.
- Assess student grades based on participation, performance, assignments, and examinations.
- Maintain professional and academic competencies and licenses as required by department teaching assignment.
- Recommend course materials to the Department Chair.
- Utilize retention software (DropGuard) for weekly reporting and Banner for attendance and grade reporting.
- Use Microsoft 365 for email and word-processing.
- Assist and mentor students as needed.
- Participate in campus and department meetings, activities, and professional development as directed by the Department Chair.
- Maintain regular email communication with students and the Department Chair.
- Maintain student confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Requirements
- A Master's Degree or higher in an appropriate discipline or closely related field with 18 hours of upper division coursework in subject matter from an accredited institution.
- Prior experience in higher education is preferred, as is online instructional experience and computer literacy in software and internet-based applications.
Working Conditions
The work is sedentary in nature, requiring occasional exertion of up to 50 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Work is performed during normal work hours, with some evenings and weekends to meet deadlines.
