Job Summary
Eastern New Mexico University is seeking a highly qualified Mathematics Instructor to join our team. As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching mathematics courses, developing course materials, and assessing student performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach mathematics courses, including lectures, discussions, and assignments, in a variety of formats, including on-campus, off-campus, hybrid, and online.
  • Develop and manage course syllabi, rubrics, and assessments to ensure department and college standards are met.
  • Plan and create engaging lectures, in-class discussions, and assignments to promote student learning and understanding.
  • Assess student performance, provide feedback, and maintain accurate records of student progress.
  • Maintain professional and academic competencies, licenses, and certifications as required by the department and college.
  • Recommend course materials, textbooks, and resources to the Department Chair.
  • Utilize retention software, attendance tracking, and grading systems to support student success.
  • Participate in campus and department meetings, activities, and professional development to stay current with best practices and college initiatives.

Requirements
  • A Master's Degree or higher in Mathematics or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • 18 hours of upper-division coursework in mathematics from an accredited institution.
  • Prior experience in higher education, online instruction, and computer literacy in software and internet-based applications are preferred.

Working Conditions
The work is sedentary in nature, requiring occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Work is performed during normal work hours, with some evenings and weekends to meet deadlines.
