Coffman Engineers, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Corrosion Control Engineer to join our team in Anchorage. As a key member of our multi-discipline firm, you will be responsible for assisting with internal and external corrosion evaluations and monitoring, as well as performing atmospheric corrosion control inspections.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct internal and external corrosion evaluations and monitoring to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Perform atmospheric corrosion control inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Prepare and review API 570 and 653 inspection reports for technical accuracy and completeness.
- Develop and implement cathodic protection system designs, including drawings, specifications, and materials selections.
- Oversee cathodic protection system installations and ensure they meet industry standards and regulations.
- Perform site walk-downs and prepare field-as-built drawings to document project progress and completion.
- API 570 or API 653 certification preferred.
- NACE CP2 or higher preferred.
- Oil and gas, DOD, and/or water/wastewater inspection corrosion control experience.
- Ability to travel, perform field work, and work overtime as needed.
- Valid driver's license and driving record that meets Coffman's stringent requirements.
- Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) or eligibility to obtain a TWIC.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 30 pounds without assistance.
- Competency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel and database programs.
- Exceptional organization, writing, communication, and project management skills.
