Cdric Vongerichten and Ochi Latjuba Vongerichten, the visionary couple behind Wayan, are set to launch their second restaurant, Ma-d, in April. This exciting new venture will offer a unique dining experience with a focus on seafood and vegetable-forward preparations in a vibrant, beach-inspired setting.

We are seeking experienced bartenders to join our team at Ma-d. As a barback and food runner, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests while maintaining a clean and organized environment.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional service to guests while maintaining a clean and organized environment
  • Assist bartenders with drink preparation and serving
  • Run food and beverages to tables in a timely manner
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of our menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and sourcing
  • Participate in opening and closing duties as required
  • Collaborate with Front of House and Back of House teams to ensure seamless service

Requirements:

  • Previous restaurant experience required (1+ Manhattan experience preferred)
  • Flexible availability on nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift 30-50 pounds and climb stairs frequently
  • Basic knowledge of wine and cocktails
  • Passion for providing exceptional customer service
