Job Summary

The Institute for Family Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our technical services department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch support and maintenance of our computing environment, including hardware, software, and network systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide onsite and remote support for computer hardware, operating systems, networks, and applications at various Institute locations.
  • Offer a positive and high-level customer service experience to our business community, responding quickly and completely to user or IT infrastructure issues.
  • Install and configure computer desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and applications.
  • Develop in-depth technical skills in Microsoft Windows 11 and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve computer and network issues both remotely and onsite, utilizing extensive experience and technical expertise.
  • Participate in the implementation and testing of new hardware and applications.
  • Process Incidents and Requests through their lifecycle and according to established service level agreements, utilizing an IT ticketing system.
  • Create documentation for publication on the IT Knowledgebase.
  • Maintain IT assets as part of an asset management program.
  • Exercise excellent problem-solving skills and follow company policies, calling attention to actions that may violate policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively as a team player, demonstrating self-motivation and a commitment to achieving goals.
  • Be available to occasionally work after hours or on weekends in support of company or IT projects.
  • Provide exceptional customer service skills with both internal and external customers.
  • Assist on the Helpdesk as needed.
  • Demonstrate a desire to continually learn new technologies and products.
  • Exhibit good attendance and punctuality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Hold an A.S. or B.S. in a technical field or a relevant combination of education and technical experience.
  • Be certified in CompTIA A+ (extensive experience may be considered in lieu of certification).
  • Have at least 2 years of experience working in a professional environment.
  • Hold a valid driver's license and car.
  • Possess CompTIA Network+ certification (preferred).
  • Hold certification in related subject matter (preferred).
  • Be bi-lingual in Spanish (preferred).
